Arashinki in NHK's 62th Kouhaku Uta Gassen

To my dismay this was the first time I had difficulty watching it. 2008-2010 was a breeze for me coz our cable provider still had NHK! For the recent show I had to rely on streaming sites and KeyholeTV. Of course KeyholeTV had exceeded user limit (I wasn't surprised) so I had to find other sites. Tohoshinki fansites referred us to one channel and thank goodness I was able to see the duo perform KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. But after the Furusato performance by Arashi the same site switched to Korea for MBC GAYO DAEJUN. I wasn't interested anymore because I wanted to see Arashi live more because they were hosting the whole show and were yet to perform their own song! I seldom have a chance to watch them live unlike Kpop stars. Good thing Leng directed me to another channel...but after a while they also switched to MBC! What the!!! I tried going back and forth to KeyHoleTV and luckily I got in when it was Arashi's time to perform! But it was lagging! Ugh!! At least I got to see it. My Keyhole TV even freezed on Sho's face. LOL see my pic below.

Then thankfully Leng referred another site which was much bearable than the others. At least I got to monitor it while I was watching the KBS Drama Awards in TV. Haha ! Then lo and behold look what I saw in obe screen!!! Arashinki!!!!! Well they weren't standing side-by-side (you wouldn't want them to anyway...LOOK!) But I am happy to see them in one screen. But no interaction again between the two groups. :( It also makes me sad that the rest of Tohoshinki weren't here! They started here as five and to think their very last performance as five was at this show last 2009. They sang STAND BY U and that song made me sad so much. :( Hoping they come back here as five in the future! Always Keep the Faith! As for Arashi...hope they host this every year!!! Yey!!!

Yehey! Arashi and Tohoshinki will be together again in Kouhaku this year! But Tohoshinki is not five but only 2 now. *cries*

And another thing...we don't have NHK anymore!!!! Waaaaaahhh!!! I've watched Kouhaku ever since Tohoshinki appeared there (around 2008?) and watched the show on a New Year's Eve even though I don't know the other artists. I so loved NHK World. Good luck if KeyholeTV would work this time.

I wonder if they would say hello to each other this time. Hmmm....

SM Entertainment is the supplier of Arashi's albums and DVDs in Korea

To further support my last post regarding this Arashinki connection, I now posted a picture of the album and DVD I bought from Korea.

So all CDs and DVDs of Arashi bought from Korea is sold by SM Entertainment. Kind of surprising to know right? I really sensed a heated competition between JE's groups and Tohoshinki back in the days when Tohoshinki was still active as 5 in Japan. I'm sure JE woke up from their long rule when Tohoshinki came in the Japan scene. Although Arashi was just toppled for 1 week only (for Stand By U) by Tohoshinki in the oricon charts. Thus continued the rule of Arashi. But gah...I love them both.

As you can see from the pic of my Dream "A" Live album...it was bought in Hong Kong and it seemed that Avex is the one that releases Arashi CDs and DVDs in Hong Kong and Taiwan. That's another Arashinki connection since Tohoshinki was under Avex in Japan.

And I just knew that Jaejoong and Akanishi Jin (formerly of JE's KAT-TUN) are friends. Check their twitter accounts @mjjeje and @jin_akanishi. So when did that friendship start and how? I believe they first crossed paths at Music Station when Tohoshinki performed with Koda Kumi fro LAST ANGEL and KAT-TUn was there too. Is my memory correct? But both are not with their original groups anymore. Sigh.

Johnny's Entertainment and SM Entertainment

I haven't uploaded the Arashinki pics I was supposed to upload a long time ago in a galaxy far far away!!!!

Well I just wanted to ask...if there is anyone on the galaxy who could answer me...

What does Johnny's Entertainment have that SM Entertainment doesnt?

You see...JE had groomed groups and have been successful for several years already. Take Arashi for example...11 or 12 years now!!! Why couldn't SM have a group that lasted for 10 years and more? SuJu is the longest running group of SM so far...6 years for now...but not complete as 13 anymore.

I wanted DBSK to last long like Arashi...but it couldn't be helped. It has already happened. No more...no more...will wait for them to reunite instead.

Here are some of the answers I could give myself (what's the point in asking anyway?):

- Japan does not need to send its male citizens for a 2-year compulsory military service (am I correct on this one?). Korea has to.

- JE doesn't tire out their talents by touring all Asia, SME...you know they do.

I dunno! Just wanted to pop the question.

Sigh.

By the way...did you know that SME is the company that releases Arashi DVDs and CDs in Korea? Another Arashinki connection. LOL

Yoochun and Aiba - Crybabies (^_^)

I just wanted to share a VERSUS moment for these two groups. I just realized both on their 2007 concerts: Arashi's SUMMER TOUR 2007 FINAL TIME and Tohoshinki's 2ND LIVE TOUR 2007 FIVE IN THE BLACK some members cried during the last part of their concert.

Aiba cried while singing BE WITH YOU, their 2nd to the last song before their encore.

Yoochun cried while singing PROUD from their double encore. He wasn't able to sing much at all! Compared to Aiba who was still able to sing. After Yoochun...Junsu followed suit on crying. But Yoochun was the main perpetrator.

It really melts my heart to see guys cry! Speaking of crying SuJu and SHINee are also prone to crying but that should go on another post. Hehe!

Arashi and Tohoshinki on PAL's Playlist

Yes, Arashinki were both featured on Philippine Airline's Nov-Dec JAMMIN' IN JAPAN playlist last year. I was thrilled when I saw it. You know, I'm thrilled with anything Arashinki on it. Haha!

What made it more special was that I was bound for HK that time, to go to Shenzhen for the supposed 3rd Live Asia Tour MIROTIC of DBSK. Well, a week before the flight, we knew that the concert got cancelled (so many tears have gone down my eyes) but since everything was already set for a trip, me and my friends still continued on our journey. So Arashi's EVERYTHING was the perfect theme song about hope for tomorrow and Tohoshinki's STAND BY U was the perfect theme song for all Cassiopeia. We still stood by them amidst their dispute with SME. And to think STAND BY U was the theme song of the fanmeet we attended in Shenzhen.

Arashinki had combined powers once again...eventhough they don't really know of the connection. Hihi!

Similarity between Tohoshinki's KISS THE BABY SKY and Arashi's MY GIRL

As I have said before...I'm gonna find anything...as in ANYTHING that can make me link these two groups. Haha! And I've found songs that have similar meaningh from both of them. KISS THE BABY SKY was first released alongside the Tohoshinki's BOLERO single that was out early this year while MY GIRL by Arashi was just released last month.

Both songs has a catchy beat...but don't let the ebat fool you. It is not entirely a happy song. Both expresses feelings of not being with a loved one anymore...of someone who passed away already. I believe both had that same meaning when I read the translations. Despite all the sadness they still need to move on...hence the song has a happy beat. Yeah...BOTH! Kind of happy to know that they had similarities in that kind of way. Makes me sad a and happy at the same time!

So many artists before my guys!!!! Well, at least we know the order now! This starts at 1915H JST time on 31Dec09 on NHK, if I'm not mistaken. It starts around 1815H in Manila! Kyaaaaahh! Gotta get home early from work!!! I still wanna see the other artits perform.

Aymu Hamasaki is the first performer again like last year. WOW. She's also a Tohoshinki fan! Hehe!

Another event to look forward to, even before their Kouhaku performances!!!!!

I really really hope they get to greet each other. You know, a simple bow can be a good start!

This will air on Christmas day! Nice...5 members of Tohoshinki together again with Arashi! And with other big artists! Laruku...another love of mine is gonna be there too!!!

So I'm guessing it might be STAND BY U again by Tohoshinki and MY GIRL by Arashi. Well, who knows? Maybe it would be different. I'll watch it anyhow!

Arashinki in 60th Kouhaku Uta Gassen

Kyaaaaahhhhh!!!! Finally a new event where I'll be seeing both of these groups together!!! This will air on December 31, 2009 on NHK! Better mark your calendars!

I know Arashi and Tohoshinki are not friends, but since they'll be bumping to each other again...I'm hoping they'll have a little kind of interaction backstage. Just a simple "Hi" and "Hello". You know! Besides they will be both included in the WHITE Team. Hope SMAP can introduce them formally to eachother. Hehehe!

FYI, this is Arashi's first time and Tohoshinki's second time. I hope Arashi willsing EVERYTHING, but they will most probably sing their new song MY GIRL. As for Tohoshinki, I hope they'll get to have more minutes than before. Thay sang a combined performance of PURPLE LINE and DOUSHITE KIMI WO SUKI NI NATTESHIMATTANDAROU. Better if they sing BOLERO, but they will probably sing STAND BY U again...or maybe BREAK OUT! Woohoo!!!!

I'll be hoping that they'll be standing next to eachother. Kyaaaaahhh!! My husband Matsujun and Changmin together. Uh-oh! LOL!

I know I have to start this asap. I've been seeing lots of people being interested with anything that has to do with Arashi and Tohoshinki, as per stats that I've seen on my other blog.

"ARASHINKI" was not first coined by me. At first I thought it was...coz I thought hard what name would be good gto combine these 2 groups. I've tried out every combination to Toho-ara, Ara-toho but Arashinki sounds the best! Well in a way it might be dominated by Arashi since the whole name of their group is intact. But it is still the best combination.

To verify if I was the first...I googled the term...and in my dismay ...I was not the first. So I don't claim rights in owning this coined term from their group names. But since it is not a copyrighted name...I might have the right to use it too right? Sharing is love! ^_^

So I'll be posting anything related to these two groups. There are only a few as of now...but I'm hoping for more!!!!!! ^_^ let's love them both together!!!
